Day of the Dead at Adventure Coast Southport 2025

THE spectacular Day of the Dead festival at Adventure Coast Southport (formerly Pleasureland) returned in 2025 for 2 nights of vibrant, high energy celebrations, offering a truly immersive experience in the spirit of:- 'Mexico's Día de los Muertos.' The event is known for being affordable and offering a choice of passes, and this was yet main the case in 2025. The event took place on 2 nights:- Saturday, 1 November 2025 and Saturday, 8 November 2025. We attended the event on 8 November 2025 and these are some of the photographs we took at the event, with more on the following:- 2 pages within this edition.

If you are unaware what the event is all about, the festival atmosphere was electric and immersive, with the entire park transformed into a colourful, captivating landscape. The grounds were brought to life by a vibrant mix of:- circus artists, stilt walkers, acrobats, and surprise pop up performances who engaged directly with the crowds. All performers were dressed in breathtakingly colourful and traditional Día de los Muertos inspired skull make up and attire.

Each evening culminated in a spectacular finale, featuring jaw dropping fire performers and a dramatic, large scale firework display. Some of the live entertainment hosted on the main stages and around the grounds included an exceptional line up of professional acts:-

  • Sugar Vox - A talented Merseyside-based singer known for high energy renditions, including songs from the film KPop Demon Hunters.

  • Batala - A massive crowd favourite, this high octane samba-reggae drumming troupe thrilled audiences with their loud, synchronised rhythm and vibrant costumes.

  • The Fuego Chicas - A mesmerising fire dance troupe showcasing spectacular fire acts and daredevil stunts.

  • Starlight Grinders - A daring circus act featuring performers who create showers of sparks using power tools, such as angle grinders.

  • The Gladiator of Illusion - A massive hit on the main stage, this act delivered jaw dropping magic and grand-scale illusion.

  • Cirque Lux, Phoenix Flame, Spirit de Luz - A collection of skilled performers adding variety, aerial acrobatics, and visual spectacles across the park.

  • Gladiator of Fire - Another talented fire artist who helped amplify the dramatic, heat filled atmosphere.

While the date for this event in 2026 along with tickets prices which have not yet been released, but we would recommended getting then as the last few events we have attended, including this event have all be very family friendly events. Since the 2025 event has just concluded, you will need to check back on their website closer to late summer/early autumn 2026 for the official dates and ticket sales for next year's festival.
