Southport Christmas Party 2025

THIS year Southport's Christmas Lights where opened on Saturday, 15 November 2025 with a huge Children's Christmas Party, that was held within the Town Hall Gardens. This event ran from:- 11 am to 4 pm, featuring appearances from popular children's characters like:- Peppa Pig and Bluey. A large stage provided live entertainment throughout the day, next to the 60 foot illuminated Christmas Tree. The acts taking part included:- Holy Trinity Primary School, K Pop Demon Hunters Show, Central Dance Studios, the Bluey and Bingo Toy Box Show, Magic Movers, Regally Royal Pop Show, Express Dance School, Zanobini Academy of Performing Arts, King's School of Dance, Regally Royal Wicked Show, along with a performance by the cast of Beauty and the Beast Pantomime. The event also had additional activities throughout the Town Centre, like a Fun Fair, a Snow Globe, along with Christmas Stalls!

Unlike in previous years, the event then moved at:- 4pm to outside:- The Grand, on Lord Street, with a live DJ, Santa, and a Christmas elf. The main:- 'switch on' moment took place within The Grand.

The organisers:- Southport BID and The Grand are providing other entertainment and activities over the festive season, that includes a 12 Days of Christmas trail around the Town Centre, along with a new feature on the Town's Christmas Tree, an animated light show that is sync to Christmas music. Other highlights are Queenscourt Hospice's Santa Sprint on:- 7 December 2025, and various festive party nights at local venues like The Grand.

It is worth adding that the new state of the art illuminated tree will have:- 4, 5 minute displays, playing on rotation, each featuring different music and animations until the:- 31 December 2025.

  

When to see the LED Christmas Tree Musical Light Shows:-

  • Every Thursday to Friday, until:- 22 December 2025, they will run between:- 3 pm to 9:30 pm.

  • Every Saturday and Sunday, until:- 22 December 2025, between:- 12 noon to 9:30 pm.

  • Between:- 22 December to 31 December 2025, the displays will operate between- 12 noon and 9:30 pm.
