BREAKFAST ON TRACK

First North Western general manager, Paul Rushton, enjoying breakfast with passengers on the new Liverpool to Crewe service (Above).

REGIONAL train operator First North Western celebrated the launch of its new Crewe to Liverpool service on Saturday (4 October) with a continental flavour.

Customers travelling on the route in the morning enjoyed a complimentary continental breakfast of coffee and croissants.

Paul Rushton, general manager (Merseyside), joined passengers between Crewe and Liverpool to welcome them onto the train and also serving them their breakfast!

Paul says, "We are so pleased to be running this new route that we decided to treat the first passengers who used the service to breakfast on us!"

First North Western is running the two-hourly Crewe to Liverpool service on behalf of Central Trains on Saturdays only, until early next year, and will then run the service on its behalf six days a week.

For timetable information, passengers should either call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 or First North Western customer relations on 0870 600 1159.

We just hope the passengers did not get the wrong type of breakfast….
