The Ricoh Women's British Open 2010
THE
international event hits Southport from the 27 July to 1 August
2010. The big days are from 29 July to 1 August, when Ladies from
all over the world fight it out on the golf course for the honour of
holding the cup. It is hoped that a repeat of the weather that
spoiled the 2008 Open Golf does not return, but rain is forecast.
Also the area sees the return of Michelle Wie, who was Best Amateur
in 2005 at Birkdale, but as she embarrassingly admitted, she had put
on her Facebook Page that she was enjoying being in
"Southampton"... All jokes aside, Wie is now seen as one of
the most likely to hold this year’s cup. With so many players, from
all over the world, and press coverage given in even more countries,
it is a fantastic thing to have for the area and we look forward to
