Spring blooms for Southport retirees

SOUTHPORT retirees and their families came together to celebrate the beginning of the new season last Saturday, at a spring Inspiration Day at McCarthy and Stone's development, Brunlees Court.

The free event, which took place at the Assisted Living development on Cambridge Road, really captured the imagination of local people, who were able to enjoy the beautiful flower arranging demonstrations from interior designer, Beverley Love. Guests were also invited to experience the wonderful food tasting by CaterPlus Chef, Ian Sankey, as well as an array of delicious cakes and savory snacks on offer.

Fiona Brooks, Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone, said:- "Our spring open day was a fantastic way to demonstrate what a happy and thriving community we have here at Brunlees Court. It proved popular not least because of the fabulous food on offer from Ian, but the wonderfully inspiring floral display to get everyone ready for spring.  It was lovely to see new faces from the community, as well as family and friends having such a great time, many of which also benefited from a tour to see 1st hand the enjoyable and hassle free lifestyle on offer at Brunlees Court. "

McCarthy and Stone's Assisted Living developments aim to bridge the gap between conventional Retirement Living and residential care. Homeowners are able to retain independence in the form of home ownership, with their very own front door, yet still have the peace of mind of a range of additional 24/7 security and support services.

Fiona continued:- "At McCarthy and Stone we are proud to help people stay independent for longer and really make the most of every minute of their retirement. That is why we are so committed to delivering an exceptional lifestyle for our residents at Brunlees Court with a beautiful setting, fantastic food and luxuriously appointed accommodation; all with the peace of mind that care, support and friendship is close at hand. This is particularly important to relatives who want to be certain their parent, uncle, aunt or grandparent is enjoying the very best quality of life."

Facilities at Brunlees Court include a fantastic on site table service restaurant, a homeowners' lounge, 0.75 acre private gardens in which to relax, 2 lifts, and flexible domestic and personalised care packages, which can be tailored to provide varying levels of support according to homeowners' individual needs. In addition, a dedicated and experienced Estates Manager ensures the smooth running of the development, with 24 hour, 365 days a year on site staffing, providing peace of mind for both homeowners and their families alike.
