Everyman showcase for creative Edge Hill students

ON Tuesday, 9 June 2015, student work from Edge Hill University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, will take over Liverpool's Everyman Theatre with an exhibition and showcase called:- 'Exclaim!'

At this biennial event, guests will have the chance to view the most exciting work students have produced during their time on the Creative Writing, Music, Dance, Film and Television, Animation, Drama, Advertising and Computing degree programmes.

David Peimer, Professor of Drama, Head of Performing Arts and Director of Exclaim! said:- "We are proud of our students and staff in the Faculty of Arts and Science, the creative home of the show and on the 9 June, we want to share their amazing energy and talent with the audience in Liverpool."

The show will feature a wide range of work including a performance from year 3 Dance students created by renowned choreographer Gary Clarke for Exclaim!

The show will also include aerial performance and a solo performance from recent dance alumnus Malachi Simmons who now works professionally in the dance industry. There will be readings of work from creative writing students, drama performances plus student produced films, animation, music and singing.

Guests at the event can also see an exhibition of visual work and costume.

Carol Poole, Producer of Exclaim! said:- "Exclaim! 2015 follows on from the outstanding extravaganza of student talent displayed in Exclaim! 2013 at the Lowry Theatre Salford Quays, which celebrated our relationship with MediaCityUK. Exclaim! 2015 celebrates Edge Hill in Liverpool, the 1st home of the University and our long standing links with the City. It also celebrates new partnerships with Tate Liverpool, the Liverpool Culture Company, Liverpool Sound City and LA Productions."

Edge Hill, the UK University of the Year, has this year begun a partnership with Liverpool’s Everyman and Playhouse theatres which will involve student placements and internships across the full spectrum of theatrical disciplines, access to masterclasses hosted by industry professionals, discounted tickets, field trip visits to the theatres and applied/educational theatre projects.
