Fantastic start to Spookport 2015

ON Saturday, 24 October 2015, Southport, in Merseyside, became Spookport! The Halloween Festival that runs until 1 November, began with a fun filled costume parade, which started at Pleasureland, who are hosting 2 weeks of thrills which will include 2 firework displays. Celebrations which end on 6 November 2015. Other attractions, include Southport Model Railway Village, who are hosting a "Count the Pumpkins" treasure hunt at from the 24 October to 1 November 2015 (admission prices apply). The Fox and Goose, who are hosting a week long worth of Halloween fun nights, ending on 31 October 2015, with the 'From Dusk Till Dawn' event... In Churchtown, L&A's will be hosting a children's afternoon Halloween Tea Party... The West Lancs. Light Railway (WLLR.Net), will also have their Ghost Train, on 31 October 2015, plus the Oast House (Southport), on All Hallows Eve, will be hosting an adult Fancy Dress Party, as well! Plus many activities are being hosted at the Atkinson with various events and exhibitions taking place for both kids and adults! But what a start... with ghoulish ghosts, scary costumes and pyrotechnics, this year's Halloween festival parade was a 'spooktacular' success. Hundreds gathered along the main Town Centre Street, to see the mayhem and madness snake on past, with the sun setting and the Atkinson glowing in green and orange light! We have included a few photographs from the event to this week's edition, with more being added next week.
