New look classes with a bonus at Southport's YMCA

IF getting fit tops your list of New Year's resolutions, check out the new look health and wellbeing offer at YMCA Southport. During January, YMCA Southport is offering a free month's membership to anyone who signs up for an annual pass. As part of its revamped health and wellbeing offering, YMCA Southport has introduced a new timetable of more than 40 fitness classes, designed to boost fitness levels, while having fun. There will also be a team of personal trainers on hand to provide extra support to achieve personal fitness goals.

The health and wellbeing centre boasts a fully supervised gym and a roller disco, as well as an indoor climbing wall, squash courts and other facilities suitable for all ages and abilities. Classes range from Dodgeball to Ladies' Self Defence.

Lisa Jones, Operations Manager at YMCA Southport, said:- "Getting involved in enjoyable classes is a great way to keep fit and active and what better time to get going than the start of a new year. With more than 40 activities on offer, there really is something for everyone. We have recently had a recruitment drive for fitness instructors, so we have a keen team which can offer expert advice and support for people who want to get involved in everything from climbing to karate. Overall, we have fantastic health and wellbeing facilities at Hoghton Street, particularly for young people. Becoming a member is the perfect route to getting fit for the New Year, while providing an opportunity to meet new people and have some fun. And just to make things even more attractive, there's no joining fee, our charges are very reasonable; and there's a free month if you join for the year. I look forward to welcoming many new members throughout January."
