A Right Royal Treat for Southport Residents

A Southport family carvery restaurant is treating its customers like royalty on 21 April 2016, to mark the 90th Birthday of HRH the Queen. Toby Carvery Ainsdale on Liverpool Road, Southport, is marking the special occasion by inviting everyone in Southport who has a birthday, on 21 April 2016, to visit the restaurant for a free roast dinner, on their special day. But you must be booked in, and a few terms and conditions do apply. The offer is open to anyone in the family, from children through to grandparents. Regardless of age, Toby Carvery is the place to celebrate your birthday.

Alexandra Wheelton, general manager of Toby Carvery Ainsdale said:- "As we mark 90 years of a true British icon, we felt it was only right as Home of the Roast, to celebrate with another much loved classic. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere in our restaurant is a great place to get together with friends and family. We have just launched a brand new party package which includes birthday cake, balloons and free sundae for the birthday boy or girl. As well as a 2nd treat 6 months later, so our guests can really feel like royalty with a second birthday! I look forward to hearing many renditions of 'Happy Birthday' on April 21, as the party celebrations really get underway."

What's more if you or a loved 1 was born on 21 April 1926, let Toby know in the comments box when booking online for an extra special treat.

If you share the Queen's special day, simply take a form of identification to the restaurant on the 21 April 2016 and enjoy your free birthday roast.

With over 160 locations across the UK and over 30 years' experience of laying on a family sized feast, you can be sure that Toby Carvery is home of the roast.

Toby Carvery believes there's only 1 way to do Great British Roast; and that's properly. Food is always freshly prepared at Toby to satisfy your carvery craving. Suspected Arson attack at property in Bootle

MERSEYSIDE Police are appealing for information after a suspected arson attack at an empty house in Bootle last night, 6 April 2016. The incident took place at around 7.55pm, and both Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to the house on Scott Street. Occupants of the neighbouring houses were evacuated and the house was gutted. Sefton Detective Chief Inspector Gayle Rooney said:- "We are keen to speak to anyone with information, particularly local people who may have seen people in the vicinity of the address last night, or on previous occasions, as we believe that the house may have been used as a meeting place for local youths. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, but we are treating this incident as deliberate, and one which could clearly have had catastrophic consequences for neighbouring residents." Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Sefton CID on:- 0151 777 3835, call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on:- 0800 555 111.
