Leo's Bar Lounge - Re-Opening Party

ON 24 June 2016, the:- 'Amazing Small Weller Live, a Tribute' to 'The Jam' and everything Paul Weller took to the stage as the first act to play at the new look venue. Also for those who attended, a free buffet was on offer... It was not intended as such, but this was a welcome escape from the results of the Referendum. The venue has suffered badly in recent years and the new Management hopes to start turning things around, who have already got a good track record in Southport after turning the Fox and Goose around. The building still has lots to do on the outside and inside, but we are told that negotiations to undertake the work are now proceeding, something that has been a major issue in the passed. Due to the historical value and location, it's hoped that renovation work can continue soon. But already the change inside is striking. To keep up to date on developments visit the bars new website. Lets hope funds can be found to aid the renovation and preservation of this local landmark, which is a fantastic blend of both neoclassical and futurist architecture.  Did you go to the opening night?  Let us know what you thought of it, via emailing us to:- To see the rest of our photos taken at this event, please click on here now.
