Whiteness appeal following burglary at Gusto Southport

MERSEYSIDE police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at the Gusto restaurant on Lord Street, Southport, over the Bank Holiday weekend, 16 April 2017.  The 2 offenders broke into the premises overnight, on Easter Sunday and stole a quantity of wine.

CCTV images have been recovered which Police are currently examining as part of the investigation.  Merseyside Police have also confirmed that they are also investigating an earlier burglary at the restaurant, that happened on 4 April 2017, when a quantity of alcohol was taken after a forced entry into the premises.

Local Police Inspector Graham Fisher said:- "I would appeal for anybody who can help us with this investigation to come forward.  A thriving business community is vital to the Town and we will do our utmost to bring to justice criminals who target the people who are simply trying to go about their daily business and serve their community."
