Southport hairdresser celebrates winning Best Bridal Hairdresser at:- 'emotional and unforgettable' awards

A Southport hairdresser is celebrating winning the title of the:- 'UK's Best Bridal Hairdresser 2026.' Kelly Stevens, who runs the:- Unique Hair & Beauty salon on:- Duke Street, in Southport, Merseyside, was awarded the prestigious accolade at the National Beauty Awards UK & Ireland.  Kelly said:- "I was incredibly honoured to win Best Bridal Hairdresser 2026! As a small, independent business owner, this means so much to me, and I'd love to share the achievement with the local community. This year I am incredibly proud to be celebrating 16 years in business at Unique Hair & Beauty. What started as a small mobile hair and beauty service run from my car has grown into the salon I opened 8 years ago; something I once only dreamed of. Last year, I decided to step completely outside my comfort zone and entered the National Beauty Awards UK & IE.  I was over the moon to be named a finalist and invited to the awards final in Liverpool, where I celebrated alongside so many inspiring and talented people from our industry. Throughout the year, I was also lucky enough to be part of 27 beautiful weddings, working with wonderful brides at some truly stunning venues.  Being announced as a winner at the National Beauty Awards was an emotional and unforgettable moment for me, and1I will cherish forever.  It was such a special night celebrating everyone's hard work as we welcomed the 2026 awards year together. This award honestly means more to me than words can say! I absolutely love what I do, my little salon, and the amazing clients and brides who trust me to be part of their special moments. Their support, loyalty, and kindness are the reason I get to do a job I truly love every single day."

Letter to Editor:- "NCP Car Park hero!"

"MY name is Riane and I feel I had to send you a heartfelt email about the bravery, courage and overall beautiful person who helps on a daily basis in his job. His name is Liam Howard and he works at the:- NCP Car Park, on London Street, Southport, I wanted to share as within Sefton too. He is a absolute hero and needs to be acknowledged for saving a family members life of mine, I won't go too much into detail as a upsetting issue and I remain anonymous/private as still coming to terms and issues. What I can say is Liam Howard saved a family members life from self harming and taking their own life whilst parked up in their vehicle. Whilst on patrol his quick thinking and amazing communication managed to save his life. He's my absolute hero along with the rest of my family thinking same because we got to see that family member for Christmas and get the help he needed and in a safe place now. It was October the incident occurred. Thanks to Liam we owe him everything and he needs to be known because he's incredible. I do hope he is checked on also because what he saw and maybe dealing with himself. I also know he's helped numerous customers in accidents at the car park First Aid etc. Again absolute hero what a wonderful gentleman, we need more people like Liam and I am so thankful to him I have that family member still here with me especially me and my child. I would really appreciate writing about Liam just for the appreciation I owe him the world and think would be nice for others to know if they park in that car park they know there is a hero to help them and a professional at what he does. Certainly my go to place to park in Southport now and already recommended to plenty of others. Thankyou for your time I really do appreciate it at what's been a tough few months, but a very much happier couple of months. Been very emotional writing this but happiness and much loved overall." Kind Regards, Riane.

Editors Note... "We have contacted NCP about this and we hope they or our readers will pass this on for Riane."
