- Pier
Opens!
- Phase one is now complete
and the crowds poured into Southport as the new
reconstruction programmed came to an end. The fully
restored pier now is open to the public, but unfortunately
some parts still need funding to finish. The cash is
still to be found to fund the extras like the pier train,
but this has not put off the residents and visitors who
enjoyed this bank holiday strolling along.

is a valuable asset to Southport and it is very pleasing to
be able to get access again. They have done a
fantastic job!"
