Eggsellent Eggsperiments at Catalyst!
GET ready for some eggstra special eggsperiments at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre over the Easter holidays! On the:- 3 April, 6 April, 10 April and 13 to 17 April 2015, you can join our 'Chocolate Heaven' show to find out about the science behind 1 of our favourite Easter treats. Race to make crispy cakes, find out what makes really good chocolate and discover why chocolate makes us feel good, in our family show at:- 12 noon and 3pm. You may also want to take part in our eggsellent 'Easter Eggsperimental' workshops in the Discovery Lab. Have you ever seen a naked egg? Can you get a whole egg inside a bottle? Come and have a cracking time taking part in our eggstraordinary workshops, at:- 11am and 2pm. Tickets for the above cost:- £1 per person in addition to the normal admission price but they are limited and are sold in reception each day on a 1st come, 1st served basis.
As you follow the Easter trail around the
galleries you may even get to have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny if you
are lucky enough to meet her! As well as taking part in these family fun
activities, Catalyst provides visitors with a great opportunity to experience
the colourful world of science and technology. There are three interactive
galleries to explore, a room full of puzzles and games and a scenic glass lift
to take you to the top floor glass walled Observatory gallery where you can get
a great view of the construction of the new Mersey Gateway bridge. Science has
never been so much fun!
