AUDIENCES are guaranteed to have a ball this Christmas as Regal Entertainments are delighted to announce they will be bringing the enchanting tale of Cinderella to the stage for another panto extravaganza. Coming to St Helens Theatre Royal this festive season from Friday, 4 December 2015 to Sunday, 10 January 2016 and tickets are on sale now.

2014's Jack and the Beanstalk broke box office records and was the theatre's most successful panto to date, and this year is set to be even bigger with a sensational line up bringing the nation's favourite pantomime to life; including Coronation Street's Marc Baylis and Benidorm star and Theatre Royal favourite Crissy Rock.

Every panto needs a villain and this years is a real Christmas cracker! Most recently seen as bad boy Rob Donovan in ITV1's Coronation Street for which he was nominated as 'Best Newcomer' at both The National Television Awards and the Inside Soap Awards, Marc Baylis swaps the cobbles of Coronation Street for the centre stage at Theatre Royal. Marc starred in Bromley Churchill Theatre's 2014 panto Sleeping Beauty as Prince Charming, but this will be his debut playing a panto villain, starring as the evil and dastardly Dandini; get ready to boo and hiss.

No stranger to treading the boards, Marc's extensive theatre credits include the UK tour of Hamlet, The Belle's Stratagem for Southwark Playhouse and Prick Up Your Ears for Comedy Theatre as well as seen on screen in hit shows including Misfits, EastEnders and Hollyoaks.

Excited to be coming to St Helens, Marc Baylis said:- "I'm very much looking forward to appearing in panto at the Theatre Royal and spending Christmas entertaining audiences of St Helens. Cinderella is going to be great show so bring the whole family and join in the festivities."

Theatre Royal favourite and star of ITV1's 'Benidorm' as acid tongued 'Janey York' and 'I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here'; Crissy Rock is delighted to be back this Christmas as 1 of the Ugly Sisters. No stranger to playing the panto baddie, Crissy starred as the Wicked Queen at The Epstein Theatre, in Liverpool, back in 2013.

Leaving audiences on the edge of their seat in fits of laughter earlier this year as the 'Mum in Rita', Sue and Bob Too! as well as other past Theatre Royal productions Escorts:- 'The Musical and Dirty Dusting', Crissy is back to bring plenty of fun and laughter to the stage.

Laura Gregory, Jack Rigby, Simon Foster, Ben Engelen and Charlie Griffiths all join Marc and Crissy to complete this year's cast.

Last seen waiting for her Prince to rescue her from eternal slumber in Regal Entertainments 2015 Easter panto Sleeping Beauty, Laura Gregory returns this Christmas in the title role as Cinderella. Laura has plenty of experience in panto land with previous roles in Aladdin and the title role in Snow White.

Every girl needs her Prince Charming and Jack Rigby certainly fits the bill. Making his stage debut at age 11 in Our Day Out at the Neptune Theatre, Liverpool, Jack has since gone on to appear in the ITV drama Mobile and the BBC1 series Waterloo Road and is certain to charm Cinderella and audiences this Christmas.

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, bringing a touch of sparkle and magic to this year's production is St Helens' resident dame Simon Foster who will be on hand to give Cinders a helping hand to get her happy ever after, starring as Fairy Godmother adding his hilarious comic wit and 1 liners that have made him so popular year after year. Keeping things fresh and new, this will be the first time that the role of the Fairy Godmother has been played by the dame!

Playing Buttons the loveable friend to Cinders is Theatre Royal's very own workshop trained Benjamin Engelen who stars in upcoming Theatre Royal crime comedy caper The 39 Steps this July, as well as Regal Entertainments 2013's smash hit production of Bouncers - The Remix and in Liverpool Empire's 2014 Christmas panto Aladdin.

Its double trouble this year, as completing the line up as the 2nd Ugly Sister and desperate to make Cinders' life as miserable as possible alongside Crissy Rock is Charlie Griffiths, who has starred in past Regal Entertainments productions including:- 'The Ciggie Run' and 'The Wizard of Oz'.

Cinderella tells the story of a beautiful girl who is reduced to a life of servitude by her 2 ugly step sisters, but that is all set to change when an invitation to a grand ball at the palace arrives. With a bit of magic and some help from her friend Buttons, Cinderella is transformed in to the belle of the ball. But what will happen at the stroke of midnight?

With real Shetland ponies, enchanted pumpkins, sparkling glass slippers, Prince Charming, ugly step sisters and a Fairy Godmother to make audience's dreams come true; be sure to book your tickets early for the most lavish panto in all the land.
