Cliff Richard The 75th Birthday Tour, Liverpool
Photographs by Jo Forrest.

WHAT an amazing night for Sir Cliff  Richard  OBE  fans, as his 75th Birthday Tour stopped off at a sold-out Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, on Saturday, 3 October 2015. If you don't know who he is, well that's a little hard to explain, other than he is 1 of the nation's most popular, biggest selling pop stars of all time. No other UK band or solo artist has ever come close to equalling his 100 album releases, 123 single hits, or can claim to have occupied a place in our charts for the equivalent of over 20 years! At one stage you could not turn on the TV without hearing a reference to him. Even Christmas indisputably became associated with him as well, as he released a string of Christmas hits. He started out in the pre-Beatles British pop era and is now regarded as Britain's answer to Elvis Presley. For many Cliff is more than a house hold name, he is 1 of the great British institutions and he has helped, inspired and influenced countless musical talents over his 56 years in the music business as well. This tour is Cliff's way of celebrating of what is a remarkable career, in an industry known for short careers. His staying power is down to his amazing ability to keep re-inventing himself, and that re-invention has lead to an amazing show... Performing highlights of this remarkable career, he received not only a standing ovation at the start, but also at the end! How many pop stars can say they got that? He might be Britain's all time greatest hit maker, but he is also one of the best at knowing how to captivate an audience. His high quality performance was backed up with his showmanship and amazing lighting. Even after the show the ultimate entertainer kept his fans pleased by standing up and waving to fans through the sunroof, as has he left the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall! These photographs are just a glimpse of the show. We are sad not to be able to bring you more, like sound and video, but trust us when we say, all who attended were in-awe.

Did you know that Cliff Richard was born Harry Webb, on 14 October 1940, in Lucknow, India?

Did you know that in 1995 Birthday Honours Cliff was bestowed a Knighthood for his tireless charity work and that it was the 1st to be given to a pop star?

Did you know that he has sold more than 250 million records worldwide?
