- Road Works on
A565
- Work is well underway now on
the Formby Bypass improvements, but the road works are proving a
strain for motorists this week. Large volumes of motorists
have been channeled into single lanes as both the south
bound and north bound sides use the southbound side of the A565. Some motorists try using the old road, past
Formby Hall, but this does not help. This road is only open now
for people heading into Southport as it has been restricted to Access only when going south.
Long delays are expected to get heavier as Christmas approaches,
so leave plenty of time to travel into and out of
Southport if using the A565 (Formby Bypass).

- As Christmas approaches at an
ever increasing speed, Southport's workers are out this week, as
they start to set up for the Big Switch On of the Southport
Lights.
