THIS
                      week,
Cancer Research UK teamed up with Christopher Palker who
is asking newspapers all over the UK to remind people to
"take care in the sun".   In
the letter sent to us he says "I am supporting
Cancer Research UK's SunSmart campaign, that is now being
run with the Government for it's second year.  It
aims to raise awareness of how to be safer in the sun and
how to protect agaiced skin cancer.  This year, the
initative is focusing on getting the messages through to
                      children and young people.

I was stunned to find
out that malignant melanoma, the most deadly form of skin
cancer, is the third most common cancer among the 15 to 39
year old age group.    A lot of people
don't realise that a tan is a sign of skin damage caused
by the sun.  This leads to premature ageing including
wrinkles.   Sadly, most girls think they are
only attractive if they have a tan, but I actually prefer
those without.  So their is to advantages to not
                      getting a tan...

You don't need to
sizzle in the sun to have a good time.  Just be
yourself and remember its cool to be pale!"
