DUE
to demand, 1st Banks Guides Unit re-opened September 2004
and is presently taking an over spill from other Guide
Unites in the area who are full.
Eight new Guides started in September and five girls were
enrolled on Tuesday, 2nd November 2004.
Claire Rowe, the daughter of Barbara Rowe (previous
Guider-in-Charge 1st Banks Guides), recently received her
Guiders Warrant in June 2004, and runs the Unit with
Assistant Guider Lynda Sykes and Young Leader Laura Siddle.
Claire
states that places are still available for any girl aged
between 10 and 14 years of age who live in the Banks, Mere
Brow, Tarleton, Hesketh Bank or Churchtown areas.
