The Lord Street arcade also made a very atmospheric venue to host such an event.

Taking part where 30 plus retailers, the highlight of which was of course the stunning catwalk show, featuring professional models who have previously appeared on TV with Gok Wan. Guests were treated to a canapés and drinks reception, live music and a goodie bag to take home. Yvonne Burns, Wayfarers Shopping Arcade manager, said:- “This was a fantastic event and we are so pleased to have been able to help raise valuable funds for Clatterbridge Cancer Research. The arcade is known for its fashion retailers, as well as its diverse mix of upmarket shopping, and our elegant surroundings made the perfect backdrop for a high fashion showcase. Most of the shops and boutiques in the arcade are independent businesses that are run by local people for local people. Anyone who hasn’t been in for a while should take another look as shoppers are often pleasantly surprised when they see what’s new at Wayfarers.” Also attending was the Mayor of Sefton, Cllr Maureen Fearn.
