Starshop Fashion Showcase 2004,
Week 1...

THE first of this years Talent Showcases was held on Saturday 7 August. The event is now becoming a traditional event for the town. Organised by ABD Productions and the Town Hall Garden Café on Lord Street, the event is this year not only had singers, but a fashion show that was put on in between acts. The first day of the fashion shows was on Saturday 7 August, and was produced by Broadbents & Boothroyds. The models were all staff members from the local Southport shop. The models went out on the catwalk 4 times over the afternoon, showing off 'Estee Lauder', 'Clinique', 'Lancome', 'Kanebo', 'Clarins', 'Chanel', 'YSL', 'Elizabeth Arden' and 'Christian Dior' clothing ranges. When that was not on, the audience were treated to a wonderful range of acts. The acts ranged from singers to dancers and even a jazz band!

Performing at the event were 'Hot Club Band' and female vocalist 'Tori', 'Dani' a young singer songwriter and guitarist, who is being played on Liverpool Reporter, 'Heather Birch', a stunning Irish dancer and singer, 'Carl AU', a male vocalist, 'Ken Nicholson' a singer who sand a few standard and singer 'Tracy K' who gave a display of her wide repertoire of pop music.

If you missed it go along this Saturday and Sunday on Lord Street, out side the Arts Centre from midday onwards. The Showcases will be held every week on Lord Street during the Summer Holidays.
