Southport's Charity Fun Fest 2010

THIS was a fantastic event, with Saturday seeing the weather giving the event blue sky and sun all day. Sadly Sunday had cloud and that sadly produced a bit of rain, but that did not dampen spirits. The 2010 event was held from 12 June to 13 June on Victoria Park in Southport. The activities ranged from fairground rides, live bands, Tug Of War, West Lancs Dog Display Team, a display of fire engines and busses and even the It’s A Knockout contest. Nor forgetting bands and entertainment as well as a side shows and stalls.

The Fun Fest was once again free to attend, but this year not only was it the first time on Victoria Park, but also it was the first time it became a two day event. Through out the event donations where collected with all money raised going to charities including Queenscourt Hospice, Southport St John Ambulance and Southport Lifeboat.

Well done to the organisers like Andrew Brown from the Southport Visiter for once again putting on an amazing event and raising much needed funs for good courses along the way.
