Original Cruisers Christmas Toy Run 2013!
Photograph by Major Colin Trollope.

ON Sunday, 8 December 2013, local motor bike club, the Original Cruisers kept the resolution of taking their annual Christmas Toy Run to Nazareth House in Crosby, which is a short stay respite home, run by Sefton MBC, for children with physical and learning difficulties. Our editor Patrick headed to St Teresa's Social Club and Birkdale Community Centre, to capture the set off, and we have since received a message from Charlie, the Chairman of The Original Cruisers, who said:- “The Original Cruisers have been doing these toy runs for a number of years now, but unfortunately it has had to be our last one today to this particular children’s home (Nazareth House) as it is closing down, So this time we specially wanted to make it one for them to remember, which we can safely say we did, going by the smiles on their faces when they saw all the motorbikes with the riders dressed as Father Christmas, Mrs Christmas and reindeer; and even a Sponge Bob Squarepants turned up it just made their day! Because that's what it’s all about. Some of the children even got to sit on some of the motorbikes. It’s just such a shame that Nazareth House has close its doors. I myself, as Club Chairman, would like to thank all the Original Cruisers and visiting Motorbike Clubs for making today a truly special one, and it was a huge success, we had around 50 vehicles on the parade to Nazareth House.” Please enjoy our photographs taken by our Editor, by clicking on here.
